Multi-Biometric Search Services: empowering world-class biometric identification

The FACEPOINT solution integrates with IDEMIA’s biometric search engine for multi-biometric identification. This engine, designed for both accuracy and speed, compares biometric data to establish if a person already exists in a database. It employs IDEMIA’s top performing biometric algorithms for fingerprint and palm print identification, iris recognition, facial recognition and tattoo recognition.

• The regulated institution collects document images from customers during the KYC process
• IDEMIA’s biometric search engine automatically detects and crops the human face in the document image
• DEMIA’s biometric search engine encodes it to a proprietary, anonymous “biometric template” composed of a set of figures
• IDEMIA’s biometric search engine compares the generated template with the FACEPOINT database templates
• DEMIA’s biometric search engine returns a “matching score,” defining a level of similarity
• In the case of a high-scoring match, an alert is raised
• The case is then handed to a compliance officer for manual adjudication.
